Mamma, we are going for a haircut right away.

In a Sentence: There is a way to tame naughty boys who run away from haircuts!

What is it About: Toto hates haircuts. He loves his messy outcrop. So does a cuckoo bird, who finds it the most convenient ‘nest’ to lay her eggs in. Do the eggs hatch?

Form and language: Though a bit on the wordier side, the story is fun to read.

What makes it snuggly: Toto’s unruly hair! And to see our young man so totally dedicated to the cause of this fledgling that he keeps sitting up straight in his chair for ten days!

Will be best enjoyed by: Neat kids who keep it short; messy kids who keep it long; and every possible combination in between. And you’ve-touched-a-raw-nerve moms.

From snuggly to snugglier: How about sitting down with your child to draw out messy hairs in every possible form and degree? Kids love drawing hair in different colours and styles. Give them half a chance of running wild with their creative freedom, and you’ll earn yourself a week’s free time, believe me!
